Merry Christmas.

Our first Christmas as a family was wonderful! Nick and I made a big breakfast at the house and opened presents with Cruz. Later that evening had a delicious Christmas dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Eady's. Thank you to all our friends and family for your kindness and well wishes!

Cruz Meets Santa!

The Beachwalker Inn had Santa visit this past weekend for all the local kids in Cayucos. Cruz, Grandma-T, Grandma Angel, Grandpa Jig, Solo, Pancho, Luna & Cisco all walked down the street from the house for egg nog, hot chocolate and a photo opp. with Santa. Cruz did great, he only cried the first few seconds that Santa held him.

4 Months Old

Cruz is four months old this week and he now weighs 19 pounds. He's enjoying tummy time (laying on his tummy), he used to hate it, and is able to grab at toys you hold in front of him. In the Christmas spirit I've been sing Christmas songs to him and he absolutely loves music, signing and dancing, he giggles from his gut. He also enjoys standing and jumping, with our help to support him of course. Thank you to Linda, a friend of GROW, who made this melocactus hat for Cruz. He looks so cute in it, Nick and I almost fell over laughing at him. I've posted a photo of a real melocactus so you can see how similar the hat is to the plant... great job Linda, we love it!

A Wilkinson Christmas

Nick and I have decided to have a Christmas cactus instead of a traditional fir tree. I hang lights and ornaments and we pile the presents under it. Here we are next to our cacti on our way out the door to a Christmas party. Thank you grandma-t for watching Cruz!

Turkeys in ElCentro!

Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful! It was Cruz's first turkey day and we spent it in ElCentro with the Wilkinson family. Grandpa and Grandma Wilkinson watched Cruz while Nick and I went out for a date. We took family photos, ate lots of turkey and special quesadillas (Mexican calzones), and spent quality time with aunt Sam and Megan and Uncle Pat and Sean. Thanks to the Dale family for opening their lovely home to us and especially for the deep-fried turkey!

Meeting Auntie Helen!

We traveled south for Thanksgiving and stopped by Aunt Helen's (Tata) new restaurant, Zocalo in San Diego. We had such a relaxing lunch and really enjoyed sharing time with Helen! A great stop off the 15 freeway for street tacos and chocolate empanadas!
